CC Romania hires Salans real estate partner

Clifford Chance (CC) has bolstered its Romanian arm with the hire of a real estate partner from Salans. Perry Zizzi joined the magic circle firm earlier this week (1 October) and will become the fifth partner in the Bucharest office. CC’s Romanian head of real estate and M&A, Nadia Badea, commented: “The CC office in Romania is a hub for the entire southeast Europe region. Many of our clients - real estate funds and banks who specialise in real estate finance - are involved in significant deals in this area.”
The firm’s Romanian office, which was set up last year in association with Badea & Asociatii, has a total of 31 lawyers and focuses on M&A, banking and finance, capital markets, real estate and regulatory matters.
In July CC beefed up its offering in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) with the hire of two Moscow partners from CMS Cameron McKenna. The firm also recruited a new CEE chief operating officer, hiring Steve Perkins from PricewaterhouseCoopers.
