A Luxembourg minister stressed here yesterday that his country would seek to foster economic ties with Vietnam, and several business cooperation activities would be staged during his five-day visit here. Jean-Louis Schiltz, Luxembourg minister of cooperation and humanitarian, told HCMC chairman Le Hoang Quan during a courtesy call yesterday that the coming time will see a turning point in the two-way relationship.
Schiltz expressed his satisfaction about the seminar “Luxembourg - Your Privileged Partner in Europe” which was organized at the Sheraton Hotel on Wednesday. This business forum focused on cooperation in the field of finance and banking. Other activities in his busy visit in Vietnam include meetings with local leaders in Hanoi today, and a meeting of the Luxembourg-Vietnam Committee that will take place this morning at the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
Schiltz will also witness the signing ceremonies of two cooperation agreements, one between Luxembourg’s satellite group SES and Vietnam National Post and Telecommunication Group, and the other between Luxembourg’s Financial Technology Transfer Agency and State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC).
