Chad Smith joins Peoples State Bank

President and CEO of Peoples State Bank Joe Joyce has announced that Chad Smith has joined Peoples State Bank as Assistant Vice President and Loan Officer. Chad will be based in the Peoples’ Sayre Office at 205 W. Lockhart St., in downtown Sayre.

Chad brings over 13 years of banking experience within the Bradford County area. He has an Associates Degree in Business from the Pennsylvania College of Technology and attended the Advanced School of Banking and Commercial School of Banking at Bucknell University. Chad resides in Athens with his wife Carrie and two children. He is very active in the community, coaching Valley Youth Soccer and Athens Little League.

Mr. Joyce says he believes that, “Chad brings a wealth of experience in consumer and mortgage lending as well as loan operations to Peoples State Bank. We are confident that Chad’s knowledge of the market and diverse lending background will benefit customers in Sayre and throughout Bradford County.” Peoples State Bank, which was founded in 1914, is headquartered in Wyalusing with nine full-service offices in Bradford, Sullivan and Wyoming counties and has assets of $193 million.
