Government officials here have announced that Suriname will do all it can to help neighboring Guyana to address the crime situation in that country.  
 

Suriname vows to help Guyana fight crime

Government officials here have announced that Suriname will do all it can to help neighboring Guyana to address the crime situation in that country. Justice Minister Chandrikapersad Santokhi told reporters Wednesday morning that, since the gruesome murders in Lusignan last weekend, police in Guyana are in close contacts with their counterparts here in an attempt to capture the perpetrators if they might flee to Suriname.
